P. Jurjana music school in Riga
P. Jurjana mūzikas skola is one of the biggest children music schools in Riga and whole Latvia – around 500 pupils and 60 teachers. Age of pupils are between 4 up to 18, but there’s offered also program for adult education. School offers instrument playing (choosing any orchestral instrument, piano, guitar, kokle (traditional music instrument) or accordion), music theory lessons, playing in symphonic orchestra, violin, cello or kokle ansambles. In summers school organizes music camps for pupils.
Since 2003 music education is offered also for children with special needs. Program offers instrument and group lessons and has around 20 pupils.
